Buttock augmentation is a cosmetic surgery that enhances the shape and size of your buttocks. By adding volume to the gluteal area, the shape of your butt is rounded out and lifted to increase fullness.
There are generally two ways of achieving buttock enhancement; either by fat graft transfer transplanting from one area of your body to your buttocks (also known as “Brazilian Butt lift”), or by using implants. These methods are equally as effective for both men and women.
Noble Care Outpatient Surgery Center proudly offers both “Brazilian butt lift” fat graft transfer and butt implants for buttock augmentation, and uses an approach that does not leave visible scars. This gives you a newly-shaped backside, without obvious evidence of a surgical procedure.
Dr. Nguyen first consults with you to determine your goals for your buttocks augmentation. He examines your natural buttocks, helps you decide on a size, and discusses the best approach for placing your implants.
On the day of surgery, you can expect to be sedated for your procedure. While you’re asleep, Dr. Nguyen makes an incision at the midline crease between your buttocks hence hiding the incision scar (please look at the post-op photos). He then places the buttock implants beneath your gluteal muscles on both sides and then closes the incision.
You remain in the surgery center for a few hours, then ride home lying on your stomach. For the next couple of days, you should avoid sitting or lying on your back. This protects your new implants from shifting and avoids placing unneeded pressure on your hidden incisions.
During your recovery period, it’s important that you follow the instructions given to you after your outpatient surgery. Immediately after your implants are placed, your body starts healing and adapting to these foreign objects.
Instructions that you may receive regarding your recovery include:
You can expect your recovery to last a few weeks, and the results of your implants to improve as bruising and swelling disappear. Dr. Nguyen and his team are with you every step of the way to help you achieve the desired results.
